Application and Product Support Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBLILITIES:

  • Maintaining detailed familiarity with ASI’s Products and Technologies
  • Identifying Customer’s needs, Developing and deploying our customer solutions
  • Assisting in the development of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotes (RFQs)
  • Developing and providing technical/product training and support for our Sales Team, Sales Representatives and Customers
  • Gathering and understanding Customers’ requirements
  • Monitoring market conditions and competitive threats
  • Onboarding and supporting through their application development
  • Developing internal/external documentation
  • Developing and analyzing electrical and mechanical solutions/schematics
  • Troubleshooting electromechanical systems, including software, mechanical and electrical hardware

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Education and/or Experience:

  • Engineering Degree. Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering or similar preferred, other disciplines will be considered
  • 5+ years in motor control experience
  • Relevant experience with electric vehicles, eBikes or related applications and industries preferred

Competencies:

  • Hands-on experience with wiring, installation and troubleshooting of electric vehicle control and traction systems
  • Out of the box thinker
  • Strong customer focus with a sense of urgency and ability to work with tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong technical writing and oral communication proficiency
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time
  • Ability to travel occasionally as required
