Key Responsibilities:

  • Keep track of procurement activities, logistics and component inventory at both ASI and various Contract Manufacturers, analyze operational supply chain performance through creation of procedures and Work Instructions.
  • For New Product Development -  collaborate with Project Management, Engineering, Sales, Quality, and Suppliers to ensure all supplier related operations (reporting, samples, delivery) meet the new product introduction milestones supply chain are responsible for.
  • Be pivotal part of the Sales & Operations Planning process (S & OP) by obtaining forecast data from Sales and then scrub that data to be presented as a rolling 15 month forecast bimonthly to the Contract Manufacturers.
  • Be the Champion of the OOR (Open Order Report) which is received weekly from the Contract Manufacturers ensuring completeness and accuracy of data especially on delivery dates since this is relayed back to Customers.
  • Part of the annual performance appraisal process, the SC Manager in conjunction with the Director SCM will establish annual objectives with direct reports and have quarterly touch points with direct reports on how they are tracking to the annual objectives.
  • Analyze material requirements and ensure that Purchase Orders issued on time to support production needs and expediting when required.
  • Ensure that the Shipper/Receiver prepares proper paperwork by adhering to a check list, arranges transportation of goods to customers, tracks both inbound and outbound orders & other logistical support such as quotations.
  • Real time Inventory reconciliation of components consigned to suppliers and components sold directly to suppliers thus ASI inventory records are accurate and up to date via the Bill & Hold procedure.
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) relative to Forecast performance, chronic shortages, supplier performance, Customer delivery performance, etc.
  • Assist Supply Chain Specialists in the development and implementation of supply chain best practices.
  • Ensure all staff members are cross trained to ensure no disruption when a member is off.
  • Ensure that each Sales Order that has been entered has a offsetting Purchase Order, therefore no gaps or future issues. Establish as a monthly cadence.
  • Ensure Contract Manufacturers are in compliance with the conditions of the Master Supply Agreements (MSA’s).
  • Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR’s) with Contract Manufacturer’s and prepare the data required.
  • Ensure Sales are advised at least 60 days in advance of an Order Due day of potential delays.
  • Other relevant tasks as required by the employer

Education and/or Experience:

  • 7 to 10 years’ experience as a Supply Chain Lead
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience with electronic components
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience working with Contract Manufacturers
  • International logistics experience
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Knowledge and depth of ERP systems especially in Supply Chain Modules
  • Basic understanding of Contract law pertaining to vendor contracts & agreements
  • 5 years’ experience in using KPI’s as a report card for continuous improvements
