Production Planner

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate Purchase orders and/or sales orders to create suitable production schedules
  • Ensure Contract Manufacturers production Schedule are optimized
  • Review Open Order Report and owning the action items to keep dates on track
  • Estimate the amount of material, equipment and labour required for inhouse production
  • Promptly address and resolve production issues to minimize delays
  • Promptly inform relevant parties of changes to current production schedule
  • Recommend solutions to reduce production costs and improve production processes and quality
  • Ensure production deadlines are met, and communicate to stakeholder when changes occur
  • Keep customers informed customers of lead times and changes to delivery dates
  • Coordinate purchasing activities to support production schedules

 Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, engineering or business management
  • CPIM or other relevant certification is an asset
  • Previous experience in an electronic manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft
  • Knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and related software
  • Proven attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
