Supply Planning Manager

 

Key areas are Supply and Demand Management which includes inputs, tracking and corrective action. Other key area is compliance of ASI Order Entry system to ensure all boxes are checked at each stage and no violation of any stages throughout the routing of an order which includes order acknowledgement back to the Customer.   

 

This is an in-office position, not remote or hybrid.  

 

Key Responsibilities:

Supply/Production Planning

  • Work with  contract manufacturer's (CM’s) to create an optimal supply plan to ensure ASI requirements are filled, including customer orders, safety stock, engineering samples etc.
  • Identify possible capacity/material constraints and work on resolution with cross functional teams including, but not limited to supply chain, operations, engineering, quality
  • Act as a point of contact for CM’s to resolve scheduling issues
  • Schedule ASI in-house manufacturing based on the following criteria: resources (labour, tooling, equipment) and materials.

Inventory

  • Manage finished goods safety stock inventory levels
  • Publish excess inventory on a monthly basis and work with sales to reduce overall excess quantity

Demand Management

  • Work closely with sales on obtaining the sales forecast and set up forecast schedule
  • Participate in the sales forecast/process meetings
  • Review the data for the CM forecast and make changes as recommended.
  • Share the final forecast with CM.
  • Supply a summary of actual vs. planned to indicate forecast accuracy

Order Management

  • Track the flow of new customer orders and reject or accept based on criteria as established in order entry gate review steps.
  • Provide commit dates on each new customer order.
  • Track commit dates vs. customer request date and record showing lead time requested vs. actual lead time.
  • Track customer change requests and provide impact this will have to either ASI or the CM.
  • As a monthly KPI issue a document showing order status update, percent of new customer orders that were compliant to the criteria of the order entry cycle.
  • Review and Manage CM’s Open Order Reports on a weekly basis to ensure accurate commit dates and order status
  • Maintain sales orders
  • Rup reports as required/requests from ERP system
  • Review reports for accuracy and make recommendations for changes or updates.

Compliance

  • Ensure that each sales order has an purchase order, and review monthly
  • Ensure order entry process is followed and for violations work with QA on issuance of a CAR (corrective action request)    

Vendor Quotations

  • Act as custodian for repository of current CM quotes
  • Review costing for accuracy & process quotes

 

Qualifications:  

  • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain or equivalent experience 
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in a similar role
  • Advanced MS Office skills
  • ERP system experience in Supply Chain and Planning
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude to achieve collaborative success
  • Meticulous attention to details
  • Problem solver, self-motivated, ability to initiate and follow tasks through to completion
  • Effective multi-tasker with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent Written and verbal communication skills, in english are a requirement for this position
